1) the Foundation trilogy  - Isaac Asimov. (or maybe his Robot books)

2) Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen   (or Sense and Sensibility... or Emma)

3) The Giving Tree - Shel Silverstein.

4) Jurassic Park - Michael Crichton

5) Are you there God? it's me Margaret. - Judy Blume

7) The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - C S Lewis

8) Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe - Fannie Flagg

9) To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee

10) Anne of Green Gables - L.M.Montgomery

11) Rebecca - Daphne DuMaurier

12) The Moonstone - Wilkie Collins

13) Curtain - Agatha Christie (this one, or Murder on the Orient Express)
